In the line of the exhibition, on 5-9-04, speeches were given by the following persons and subjects:

1.Antonis Stefanakis.Instrument maker of traditional stringed instruments.

2.Georgos Papaleksakis.Instrument maker.

3.Reneta Dalianudi.Dr. of musicology in the University of Athens, Researcher, Producer of E.R.A.
"The use and the technical characteristics of the traditional Cretan instruments by non-traditional composers.

4.Ioannis. Them. Tsouxlarakis.Author, Reshearcher, Folklorist.

6.Dr.Papadogiannakis Nectarios.Reader in the department of music technology and acoustic, of the Higher Technological and Institute of Crete, Division of Rethymos.
"Technology-traditional instuments. The example of the "Arximidis" programme of the department of music technology and acoustic of the Higher Technological and Institute of Crete"

The event was co-ordinated by M.Per. Pitarolkili,Lecturer in the department of music technology and acoustic.

The nomarch of Rethymnos awarded prize to instrument-maker Manolis Stagakis, for his significant contribution in the field of the construction of Cretan music instruments.
The prize was offered by the Nomarch of Rethymnos Mr. Papadakis.

During the three-day exhibition the students of the Music High School of Rethymnos was playing live music in 10 areas of the old city of Rethymnos.
In addition, local people dressed in traditional cretan constumes who were dancing, was a part of the event.
